| Advisor |
|
The Advisor is a stoic and overly literal companion of the Emperor and of Prang before him. He is an ethereal being and as he has nobody does not always relate to those who are motivated by theirs. He initially had more of an active role in the art as he had conflicts with Grey and others for possession of the Sphere of Lost Souls and as he consulted with the doomed Prang before his assassination. Now the Advisor is used as a judgmental stand-in. |
| Again |
Mantra which is used to acknowledge the repetitiveness of life and love. Originally cut from the Morrissey song "I'd Love To."

| Alexandria | ![]() |
Alexandria is based on Lepidus from the life of Julius Caesar, which heavily influenced the story of Prang and the ascension of the Emperor to his current role. She was a base courtier who was ultimately betrayed by her own naïveté and her supposed allies on the Second Triumvirate.

| Angel |
|
At one point an Angel was a primary character in the world. She is one of the more heavy- handed allegorical characters in the pantheon. She has most of the generic qualities of traditional angels - purity, goodness and stoicism. This Angel appeared at a delicate time in my life and was a bit of a rescuer. Her role and presence tapered off as the person she was based on, Hannah Exxxxxxg, and I drifted apart. Ultimately the character was killed and buried by the Emperor's Son on his father's behalf. Recently, at the urging of the Traitor, the Emperor has sought distraction from his current problems by digging up the Angels body as a form of ghoulish nostalgia. Her feathers have been used the Emperor and Smoking Guy as a sign of nostalgia and victory respectively. |
| Angel 2 |
|
This new Angel is a very important character in the story. She has arrived in the wake of the Emperor retrieving the Red Heart with the help of the High Priestess and takes it for herself in short order. The Angel herself is trying to escape the clutches of Mediocrity in order to enjoy the Emperor's company and affection. I based the new Angel on Amanda Mxxxxr who has come into my life very quickly (like the original Angel) and has made an incredible impression. The Angel is shown with many of the trappings of traditional angelic iconography including a halo and wings. |

| Apathy |
|
Apathy is a powerful hulking sulking brute. He tries to move people away from his arch foe Passion. He allies himself with villains though he himself is basically neutral due to his lack of attachment. Apathy aided in the recent conspiracy against the Emperor led by the Devil. His role was to distract the High Priestess who would surely catch on to the scheme. She defeated him but too late to notice that the Emperor had been switched with a Doppelganger and the real Emperor was implanted with the Blue Heart. The "W" abbreviation associated with Apathy stands for "Whatever". |
| Architecture |
The architecture used in my work is a hybrid of several influences. There is an obvious Greco-Roman influence shown through the many arches, columns, domes, statues and obelisks. Beside the aesthetic beauty of the classical styles, the culture that is depicted in my art has also been inspired by the ancients. The use of vaults and columns in tandem with drapery and curtains is also meant to suggest the stage. The stories being told in my art are often melodramatic and theatrical and the environment is meant to reflect that.

| Armor |
Many characters in the artwork are shown wearing a type of stylized armor. This armor has been evolving for a few years from when the world depicted in the art was more violent and martial. Armor was usually gothic and covered with skeleton motifs. This mellowed and the armor softened. Designs and rigidity were replace by solid colors and easy access. Shoulder and knee pads and high boots still refer to the old armored history. The only motifs regularly used are initials that either refers to the character itself or the person it's based on.

|
| Arrow |
The stylized arrow is used to symbolized law & order. It was associated with the young Emperor who was in opposition to chaotic forces in the court. It has recently become a sign associated with an Angel whose goodness and deathly slumber have become linked with order.

| Athena |
|
A Greek goddess who was featured in a few drawings during a mythological phase. She was depicted as a frustrated woman who was trying to distance herself from her father Zeus and his absurd libido. |
| Audience |
Sometimes in a scene, an audience is depicted. They are often little more than a series of silhouettes with odd expressions and hints of features. They are used to respond to the main action of the scene. Who they are depends on the scene - usually they are revelers or courtiers.
