An example of initials being used
as a mantra. K was an abbreviation for kill when juxtaposed with a
person's initial or the letter H for "Kill Her."
The Kabalistic Mage was the first
character based on Isaac Bxxxxr. He was a stoic and rational academic. My
own interest in numerology led to his name. His contemplation lead him to
cynicism and his costume followed suit - from red to black. He later
evolved into the allegorical embodiment of Logic.
Keys are a sign of a power to unlock things. Commonly they are used in the artwork with the symbolistic aim of unlocking one of two things - knowledge or chastity (which in turn provides a certain amount of knowledge). Skeleton style keys are most commonly used because of their exaggerated size and familiar shape.
Kimber was one of the main
characters in CW2 who has been brought into the main narrative of my
artwork. She was the girlfriend of Christopher before he became the
Emperor but left him because he cheated on her with Dabbel. Kimber
retreated to the safe arms of James upon whom she cheated with William.
Kimber was also part of the conspiracy to assassinate Prang. Kimber wears
purple armor and has pink hair as a reference to being similar to SPG.
Kimber's name was taken from a character on the cartoon Jem.
Knives have been used to symbolize
aggression and were used as tools of violence. In particular, the
switchblade has emerged because of its aesthetic associations with rocker
culture. The both High Priestess wielded a Filipino knife that I inherited
from my grandfather. More recently knives have become commonly used as a
prop for cutting fruit of drinks.
