| Scalpels |
Scalpels have been used as symbols
for cruelty - Specifically calculated and precise emotional cruelty.

| Scar
on Chest |
The Scar of the Chest is a sign of a heart being removed. This has most commonly be depicted with the Emperor who has had her heart pulled out and returned several times. The hole has never completely healed so it is stitched together. When the Emperor is depicted without a scar on his chest it is set in the past before his marriage to the Empress. |
|
| She |
She is a mantra that is used to
refer to a woman that is usually the subject of the artwork or the subject
of my thoughts. Originally cut from the Misfits song of the same name.

|
| Sloth |
One of the Seven Deadly Sins, the character depicting Sloth is based on Scott Gxxxxxm.

|
| Smoking
Guy |
|
Smoking Guy is a character that was
originally played the role of Cheated on Guy but later evolved into a self-possessed villain. Smoking Guy as a villain has been retroactively written
into the pre-Emperor world as a confidant of Prang and acting in a Marc
Anthony role in the Second Triumvirate. Smoking Guy is cowardly and
calculating and tries to avoid confrontation so he can better hide his
true motives. He wears red armor with a black cape, which is the inverse of
Morality. He consistently has at least one cigarette lit with others at
the ready. This is a sign of his obsessive ness. In the past, Smoking Guy
has been involved with the death of the second High Priestess, the
conspiracy to give the Emperor the Blue Heart and his replacement by
Doppelganger. |
| SPG |
|
Super perfect girl is a character
that is the personification of the ideal virtuous woman. She was based on
EPG but mutated to fit my aesthetic and imaginative standards. She has
been romantically linked with the Emperor's Son who is the personification
of a virtuous man. During a period of disenchantment the Emperor's Son
strayed to the arms of FPG and SPG sought out revenge through an affair
with CG. They reconciled leaving CG alone and SPG assumed a big sisterly
role with the insecure FPG. Since then SPG has been a regular
character in the drawings though she is usually been removed the
main plot. |
| Sphere
of Lost Souls |
The Sphere of Lost Souls was a
object created for the purpose of driving a plot around the Emperor's
Advisor and Grey who were both seeking this mysterious object of power. It
has no real explanation, symbolism or purpose otherwise.

|
| Squeak |
A minor character from CW2. He was
very much the kid that tagged along with his older siblings. When updated
to the current world he is older but still unusually innocent. Squeak
appears seldom.

|
| SS |
SS is an abbreviation with three
meanings. First, it is the initials of Sarah Stack with whom I had my
first serious relationship. Second, it is a pseudonym of the Emperor's Son
standing for St. Steven. Third, it is an abbreviation for the words
"Still Searching" which are bitter words that I received once
from a girl who said "I was looking for someone to be with and I
thought that might be you. But now I realize that I'm still
searching."

| St.
George |
|
St. George is the hero in the Story
of St. George who must rescue the maiden Cleodalinda from the Dragon. St.
George was a knight who was enlisted to help but did not want to be
romantically involved with a woman if he rescued her. As St. George exists
in a separate world from the main narrative, he only appears in a book or
on the label of a bottle. |
| St.
Patrick |
|
St. Patrick is a peripheral
character that was initially drawn in a series that involved Grey, the
Emperor's Advisor and her wrestling for control of the Sphere of Lost
Souls. She occasionally appears as a background character but lacks any
significant development or role. She is called St. Patrick because her
most significant role in a drawing was on a card that I mailed out for St.
Patrick's Day. |
| Statues |
Statues have been used as
decorative devices or to reflect some of the classical influences of my
art. Some recent examples include the busts of former leaders Prang and
Magnus. Smaller statues similar to detailed chess pieces have been used as
a sign of manipulating or influencing someone.

|
| Still |
Still is a mantra that is meant to
reflect a persistence and dedication.

| Strength |
|
Strength was an allegorical
character based on Matt Gxxf because of his traditional character and
physical power. He was introduced when I made the Greater Arcana of the
Tarot where he was shown holding open the jaws of the Lion thus earning
the Lion's resentment. Strength has been involved with fights with Logic,
vain attempts at wooing Temperance and a moralistic attack of the
Emperor's Other Son. Over the years, Strength has increasingly become the
but of my jokes and as Matt has long since moved on I have decided to kill
him off and replace him with the second Strength though I have yet to
commit this to paper. Strength is often shown with the letter S on his
shoulder or belt buckle which, can either stand for Strength or ape
Superman. The words "Ein" and "Primus" and the number
1 all reoccur around Strength as a reference to his lack of success with
romance. |
| Strength
2 |
|
The second character to represent
Strength has come about due to the lack of relevance of the inspiration
for the original Strength, Matt Gxxf. As Matt has long since moved on I
began considering who would be a suitable replacement. I settled on
long-time friend Ignacio Axxxxz though I have yet to commit this to paper
in a substantial way.
|
| Swords |
Swords is one of the suits of the
Lesser Arcana. Swords were also used commonly in older drawings to reflect
the martial tendency of some of the characters. But the violence itself
was usually a metaphor for emotional pain and conflict.
